The White Tower
It is the trademark of the city. Built on the southeastern side of the historical center of Thessaloniki.

It is a cylindrical building with a height of 33,90m. and a diameter of 22.70m. The panoramic view from the White Tower‘s balcony is unique, as the visitor can admire the Thermaikos Gulf as well as Mount Olympus and the Upper Town (Ano Poli). It was called the Tower of the Blood as it used to be a prison barracks. It belongs to the Museum of Byzantine Culture of Thessaloniki and since 2006 it functions only as a museum and houses the new permanent exhibition concerning Thessaloniki from the time of its foundation in 316/15 BC. to our day. Olympic Museum | Kaftanzoglio Stadium
The Olympic Museum, the only one of its kind in Greece, was founded in 1998, under the name Sport Museum. The purpose of the Museum is to collect, preserve, record and document the history of sport as well as to promote sport to individuals of all ages as well as to preserve and promote the Olympic history of the country and to promote the Olympic ideal.
The National Kaftanzoglio Stadium is located in the center of Thessaloniki and has a capacity of approximately 30,000 spectators. Since 1960 it has been used as the headquarters of the Iraklis soccer team, and has also been used as a seat by the rest of the teams in Thessaloniki.

New Waterfrond of Thessaloniki

Aristotelous Square

Aristotelous Square is one of the main squares of Thessaloniki. It is a popular spot for tourists and locals, with many restaurants, cafes and bars and is a place for political gatherings and various artistic events. It was designed by the French architect Ernest Hébrard in 1917, right after the great fire that burned the city center. Nowadays, the square and its northern continuum exhibit several of the Venetian, Byzantine and Arabic elements envisioned by Hébrard, although there have been many simplifications and modifications. Its definitive configuration took place in the 1960s.

Planetarium (NOESIS)

The Science Center & Technology Museum (NOESIS) is located 10km outside of Thessaloniki, in Thermi, and is the leading technology center of SE Europe with a host of activities and having received over 1,600,000 visitors. It enables visitors to get in touch and understand the exact sciences and technology.

Epanomi Beach

Epanomi Beach, located just 30km from Thessaloniki, is famous for its endless sand and the idyllic triangle created as the beach enters the sea, forming a nose in the water. The protagonist of the beach is undoubtedly the homonymous wreck (Navagio). Rusty, overwhelming and imposing, the dump of a ship that ended there when it sank in about 1970 giving its mark on the beach. The waters of all the beaches are clean and the beach of Potamos is awarded with a blue flag, thanks to the river that flows into the beach and cleans the waters naturally.

Mount Olympus / Litochoro

Mount Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece known worldwide for its mythological context, as the Twelve “Olympians” inhabited at the top (Mytikas – 2.918 m) according to the religion of the ancient Greeks. It is located at a distance of 100km from Thessaloniki. It is characterized by a series of high peaks around of which extends an area of ​​particular biodiversity. Organized mountain shelters are at the disposal of visitors who want to explore its beauties with a variety of mountaineering and climbing routes. A classic starting point is the town of Litochoro at the eastern foothills of the mountain.
