The history of the Thessaloniki Youth Cup begins in the summer of 2016 with the first discussions between Kostas Lolas and Thanasis Stylianou. Three successful events of the Vermio Soccer Festival had already passed and the idea of organizing a tournament in Thessaloniki at the quality facilities of the Lolas Multiaction Center was slowly maturing. George Gkourtsas, a coach with many tournament experiences in central Europe, added to the group later. Followed many meetings, debates, discussions until we ended up in an organization with a modern football philosophy.

TIMELINE
First year of Thessaloniki Youth Cup
The first Thessaloniki Youth Cup tournament was held in June 2019 with great success. The quality of the facilities and the integrity of the event left the best impressions and created high expectations for the future!
Twenty (20) teams from Greece and Cyprus participated in the U12 & U14 age categories.
Cancelled due to covid-19
The events, scheduled for May 2020 & 2021, has been canceled due to preventive measures to combat the covid-19 pandemic.
